SANTRUST Post-doctoral Programme

The programme offers post-doctoral researchers a dedicated opportunity to refl ect, learn and plan for a future academic career. The workshops use a mixture of group and individual work and are led by teams of skilled facilitators and experienced academics.

It is an innovative multidisciplinary programme developed with the following objectives:

1. To assist post-doctoral fellows enhance their research capacity.
2. To develop an opportunity for junior and senior researchers to perfect their knowledge and abilities in their respective research areas by participating in a specialized programme.
3. To strengthen the community of scientific researchers in the various disciplines.
4. To assist post–doctoral fellows bridge the gap between the PhD and becoming academics.

The programme comprises modules which will include seminars on contemporary research and workshops to help develop practical research abilities. Fellows also benefi t from the interaction with internationally recognized senior mentors. Applicants are required to make a defi nitive time commitment  spread over the period of a year.

Among the anticipated outcomes of the programme is a highly qualifi ed researcher/scientist equipped to compete successfully for research funding in their respective fi elds and confi dently submit articles for publication.
